It’s been brought to our attention that residents are receiving door-to-door solicitations with the person introducing themselves as a representative from Duke Energy and the Village Aggregation Program. This is a misleading tactic that some alternate energy supply companies use to take advantage of residents who may not completely understand the aggregation programs.
We have reached out to the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) to file a complaint. Duke Energy or the supplier of the Village Aggregation Programs will not come to your door. Any agency soliciting within the Village must have a license issued by the Village of Lockland.
If you are in doubt, please don’t hesitate to call the Village at 513-761-1124 or after office hours the non-emergency police at 513-761-1699. We understand the energy aggregation programs can be confusing and difficult to understand. If you have any questions about the Village Aggregation programs, please do not hesitate to call, or email the Village Administrator at Kblum@locklandoh.org.
