Building permit applications can be obtained at the Hamilton County Administration or downloaded from their website. All applications and plans require zoning approval through the Code Enforcement Officer. Once approved, applications and plans must be submitted to Hamilton County. Please note, two sets of plans are required for residential permits, and three sets are required for commercial permits. |

The Lockland Police Department employees 15 full-time and 2 auxiliary State Certified Police Officers. The department is specialized and includes officers dedicated to crime prevention, investigations, and traffic control. The department also has an active Community Policing Program (COPS), Specialized area drug enforcement units and SWAT Teams are available to assist, or be assisted by Lockland officers. The department has complete in-house computerization, including National Crime Information Access. |

The Lockland Fire Department was established in 1894. Since that time the organization has grown from a group of dedicated volunteers utilizing horse-drawn equipment to a full service staffed fire department with state-of-the-art fire and emergency medical equipment. The Fire Department utilizes paid on station personnel to respond to the emergency services needs of the community twenty-four hours a day. The on station personnel are supported by a dedicated group of volunteers (paid per call members) who respond to larger scale and concurrent incidents. Lockland was one of the first fire departments in the Greater Cincinnati area to achieve an ISO 4 Rating, three decades ago. Today the Department provides Paramedic Level emergency medical services and utilizes the following equipment:
Additional equipment and personnel are available from surrounding communities utilizing a regional mutual aid agreement, which includes specialized units such as the Greater Cincinnati Hazardous Material Unit, the Hamilton County Urban Search and Rescue Team, and the Specialized County Fire Investigation Team. |

Service and sanitation are handled by Rumpke. The Village provides residents with set-out/set-back service for those who qualify, please contact the Administrative Office for details. In addition, a recycling/drop-off center conveniently located on North Cooper, across from Town Hall, is available to businesses and residents. Other services include:

The Lockland park facilities are available for use for residents and non residents. Reservations must be made in advance through the Administrative office by obtaining a park permit. All permits are processed on a first-come first-served basis.
Lockland boasts a very active recreational department. In the spring, youths from 6-12 years old have the opportunity to sign up for baseball. In the fall, basketball is offered. There are also many seasonal activities for all ages to participate in that help to create a close sense of community in Lockland.
