Dear Residents and Business Owners:
It is an honor to introduce the Crime in America Program to our friends in the community.
We in law enforcement believe strongly in public education for crime prevention. Every citizen can make a contribution, ranging from reporting a crime in progress or suspicious activity, to such basics as burglar-proofing one’s home or teaching family members how to be safe when out of the home.
We are committed to your protection but we cannot be everywhere at the moment of every crime. So, we rely on your information so that we can respond where and when needed. We also rely on your support of our efforts to disseminate crime prevention education to the public.
We pledge, as always, to do our best to protect our community, to make it a safe and good place to live, work and play. We look forward to your cooperation. Together we can control crime. My appreciation goes to the individuals who make every attempt to better our community.
I ask you, the citizens, to continue your support toward the Police Department in fighting crime to keep our community safe. The more you know, the safer you will be.
Sincerely,
Chief of Police
