Fall Leaves
Fall leaves will be collected at curb side on Mondays and Tuesdays, October through December (except holidays) weather permitting. Do not rake leaves into the gutters; it is not possible for the equipment to get in such tight areas. Grass clippings, sticks, and rocks can damage and clog the equipment. These piles will not be picked up.
Limbs and Brush
Tree limbs and brush will be picked up on Mondays, March through September (except holidays). If scheduled Monday falls on a holiday, it will be re-scheduled for the following Monday. Limbs should be set at curb side after 7:00 PM Sunday night. Limbs should be laid in same direction and no larger than five inches thick. Limbs blocked by autos or stacked with other items will NOT be collected. Stumps and/or root balls will NOT be accepted. Residents having large amounts of limbs will be required to rent an over-night truck for self-loading (see below). The Village will not pick up limbs due to private contractor doing tree work. Contact Public Works at 513-733-0957 to notify them of any limbs to be collected.
Truck Service:
The Village makes trucks available to residents on a first-come, first-served basis for a small fee during evening or weekend hours to load large quantities of refuse. This service has limited availability during the snow season due to the plowing equipment being installed on the trucks. The list of items the Village will not accept is the same as Rumpke’s. To schedule or check on availability of a truck, call Town Hall at 761-1124.
Household Hazardous Waste Collection:
Hamilton County Environmental Services (513-946-7734) will collect hazardous waste. Contact them by phone or visit www.hcdoes.org for more information.
Snow Emergency Guidelines
A snow emergency in Lockland is in effect whenever a snow emergency is declared in the City of Cincinnati. Even if a snow emergency is not declared, it is advisable to park your cars off the street if snow is expected.
