Village of Lockland Water Customers,

On behalf of the Mayor, Council, and our Village Staff, I want to thank all of you for your help in assisting us with the information needed to move to electronic billing. Your help has made the process much smoother than we anticipated. Over the past years, the Village has been absorbing the cost associated with our customers and citizens using credit cards and electronic checks to pay their bills and fees. Last year, the cost for this exceeded $21,000. The Village is not in the position to continue the practice of absorbing banking and credit company fees. Beginning May 1, 2026, any processing fee passed onto the Village by a customer’s use of credit cards, electronic checks, or other means will be passed onto the customer. The current surcharges are as follows:

• Online Payments                                      3%
• Credit Card Payments in our Office          3.5%
• E-checks                                                   $1.00 fee

Please understand that these fees are from the provider, they are subjective, and they can be changed by the provider. If you would like, as in the past, you can always pay by cash, check, or money order (made directly tot he Village of Lockland). Payments can be made in person Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at Town Hall, deposited in the drop box outside of Town Hall, or mailed.
