Lockland Business Façade Improvement

Applications Being Accepted for 2025 Projects

The Village of Lockland is accepting applications from local businesses with desire to conduct façade improvement projects.  The Village will reimburse up to 80% of costs up to a maximum amount of $16,000 per project.

These grants aim to assist businesses to increase consumer foot traffic and sales, boost business attraction, improve energy efficiency, increase accessibility, and foster community pride & investment in the business district.  Participants must be in good standing order with all rules and regulations.

Façade improvements are required to be visible to the public and the public right-of-way.  Eligible activities include: exterior building improvements, design, labor, materials, fixtures, awnings, attached lighting, attached signage, roofing, gutters, downspouts, and exterior painting.  Removal of barriers to access for people with disabilities is also eligible.  Ineligible activities include: interior modifications, parking lots or paving, landscaping, public sidewalks, painting unpainted brick, signage not attached to the building.  Funding is limited and is provided as reimbursement of documented eligible costs.  Projects must be completed by November 7, 2025.
